Alpine have been naive for sure but now are seeking financial compensation as I bet they really do not want Piastry now ….and it could weaken McLaren even more if you consider the huge pay out for Ricciardo..(budget cap) Beside they can replace him for a proven F1 driver.. Who on earth would prefer a reserve driver position at McLaren rather a seat at Alpine who are ahead in the championship… Poor job mr Webber.12-08-2022 10:46

Exactly.. McLaren will have to pay out Ricciardo and will have to pay a compensation to Alpine if they want Piastry…. I doubt McLaren can pay that much without compromising next year…. Webber must the worst driver manager ever…08-08-2022 12:00

First sort out you team in Indy who is nowhere and then the F1 community should look at it carefully.. Beside Andretti would be an additional team and F1 is already crowded and it does not need another Hass team at the back blocking the front runners.. Audi, Porsche and maybe BMW are powerhouse names and are set to takes on existing teams and have what it takes to come to the front at some point…08-08-2022 12:28

I would not be so sure about that…i mean Ricciardo took a beating with Lando Norris… And Ocon is the main driver at Alpine…neither Alonso orPiastri have had a 4 years contract… I want to see Gasly in that seat because he hate Ocon as much as i do ??05-08-2022 13:51
